Welcome to our setting

From the Headteacher

Mrs Elaine Stevens B-Ed ( Hons) ; NPQICL

Welcome to Hateley Heath Primary School and Bright Futures Children's Centre.

I hope you find the information provided about our setting useful . Please contact the school or children's centre office for any further help.

Our vision is to provide a centre within the local community which can support children and families to achieve their potential.

Hateley Heath Primary School is a two-form entry school for children from 3 to 11 years of age. We are a richly diverse community. Bright Futures daycare is a 52-place provision taking children from 6 weeks of age , and is led and managed by the Governing body. We are open 50 weeks a
year from 7.30 a.m to 6.00p.m.

Your child will recieve high quality teaching and learning experiences ,together with the highest quality of care. Our curriculum ensures that every child has the opportunity to develop into confident, independent and caring young people with a lifelong love of learning.

Our children are polite , friendly and well-behaved. They are encouraged to take responsibility for the leadership of their school through the School Council. They have opportunities to take part in Out-of-school activities ; Play schemes and Residential experiences from Year One through to Year Six.

The school and daycare have received Good judgements from Ofsted, others outside agencies and parents. We have a number of awards which recognise the good practice provided by our setting.

To achieve the best outcomes for your child I strongly believe that home and school need to work in partnership. Parents are warmly invited into the setting. We hold regular consultation meetings during the year and Home-School Agreements are in place.

The Children's Centre on site supports families and young children. There are trained Early Years , Maternity support an Family support staff available.

I hope this information has given you a brief insight into our very special setting. I look forward to welcoming new families and visitors into our learning community.

Warmest regards

Mrs Stevens
